Default ? about bent valves.

I finally replaced the timing belt after it broke.
The car will not start. It does not feel like it is firing at all.
If the valves are bent would the engine feel like it is not firing. No compression no explosion in the cyclinder.

You have bent valves. There ain't no getting around it. Time to pull the head.

Does the engine turn over and just not fire? Only 2 causes; fuel or spark. You need to figure out which one is missing.

Do you know if you have spark and/or fuel?

Did you remember the basics, like spark plugs? Hoping for the best for you..

The engine turns over, it just does not fire.
The last time I had bent valves the engine would run.

I was just wondering if all the cylinders had bent valves, then their would be no compression. Then the fuel would never turn to a gas and ignite. Right?

Have you tested the compression? It's not clear from your description. What were the numbers?,

Yeah, what Peckster said, do a compression check, 'cause that's the only way to know for sure without pulling the head.

FWIW, my money is on bent valves.....

If the motor was turning (even with just the starter) you have at the very least bent valves, quit fooling around and pull the head.

You don't want the motor to start with bent valves, what if one breaks off and scratches the cylinder walls or punches a hole in the head or piston!!!

If you have no compression, the engine will not work.

It doesn't matter if you have spark. It doesn't matter if you have fuel.

If you have no compression, the engine will not work.

Fix your bent valves.

Does it turn over really fast or does it turn over normally? I hate to say it but if the engine was running and from what I read it was then you have atleast few bent valves.

Engine only.

At least pull the head. If the pistons are OK, you should only need the head repaired. It'll be a little expensive due to parts but still less than a new motor.
