How fast do you guys think it was going? I would imagine it had to be like 60 mph to get the car to wrap around the pole like that. At lower speeds, it the car would just bounce off and spin, right?

Just for conversation's sake..

The math that folks do to call that a "70 MPH impact" is false. IF the two cars are of equal mass, it is 2 - 35 MPH collisions, or similar to TWO cars hitting a stationary wall at 35MPH each. Yes, the closure rate is 70mph, but since neither car has inertia in excess of 35mph it isn't like a 70 mph hit. IF one vehicle's mass is much larger, say an Excursion, Hummer or Locomotive, where the larger transfers it's energy to the smaller throwing it backward at a rate of say, 20 MPH, it might generate the G's of a 55mph hit. I'm not college educated, so math/physics majors feel free to chime in to correct me.

Again, just for conversation.. No flames intended..

We all know that a lot of cars consider it a notch on the ole' bed post when they can get us ticked enough to actually respond to their taunts... yeah I think they do give us a little more ink when something goes wrong! What can I say, jealousy maybe? I guess in the end, I don't care either way!!!

Haven't you ever seen crows pick at a carcass? A friend of mine called them bummer birds because she thought all crows do all day is sit around waiting for something to die so they can go pick at it.

No, it is good engineering, God had nothing to do with the way these cars are built. Thank you Porsche.

Yeah, I guess I have. I suppose I was thinking of vultures. Saw a bald eagle on a carcass last week, what noise do they make?
