I would donate to a paypal account toward Dan having a "rennlist sponsor" title. His products helped me kick my addiction to buying new batteries! Dan offers a product of unparalleled quality out of good spirit.
This is as consistent with rennlist as I can imagine anything being - and I think John agrees.
As a community, cound we make amends in this way - by buying Dan a sponsor title?

Jake, it looks like it is sorted out. And while I admire the spirit, I would prefer a model where the vendors pay John D and we pay the vendors... but here's the thing: I like to see Member discounts on products so that the non-members pay a bit more for products that are marketed thorugh Rennlist, and the members get a break for tolerating some low-key advertising. Just MHO.

I like Joel's suggestion.

This is John & Jenn's House they make the rules and we follow them.

It does cost money to run and so they need to find source for that money. That source are member dues and sponsor $$$

I do like the Idea of different sponsor levels, but they really must be tied to what you get in return. You can't ask one sponsor for $1500 a year and allow another guy to get the same promotion level for $500 a year. Not fair at all. Look at any race car. The bigger the decal the more money they had to spend for it.

Right now there are few levels that I can see

1) User - Free, Benefits are you talk all you want. No personal sales & No Business promotion
2) Member - $18/year - Benefits. All forums access, Sigs, Webspace, Occasional Personal sales, No business promotion

3) Sponspor $125/mo - Benefits, Member plus business promotion.
4) Buying Ad space - (not sure on the details here)

So if we need something between memeber and sponsor level then fine. I don't know what that level would be and what the benefits are, but they should NOT be as much as regualar sponsor. Everyone needs to get what they pay for.

John and Jenn - you never cease to amaze me. What a wonderful, giving thing you have done. I KNOW you guys make no $ on this list, yet you give freely year after year. When there are problems, they are usually settled with little bloodshed due to your generosity. I have always supported this list (even sponsering others) b/c of your loving and caring attitudes. I am thankful for what you provide here and will always be willing to help in any way I can.

Absolutely amazing.

Thanks, Daniel.

It's a b-e-a-uuutiful day outside here right now. Sun is shining, birds are chirping, grass is growing. Ah... thanks, I needed that.

As my wife always says; "if I want to hear any sh*t out of you, I'll squeeze your a**".

Back on topic: I may have to cut my grass twice this week because of the rain.

Wait, what? That's not the subject?

And I have to water my grass just to be able to cut it once per week.

What about you, John? I bet Jennifer has a "gardener" to do their landscaping.

I see the thread is back up and Ice is shown as a sponsor. Glad it worked out.

Well It cooled off here in Arizona, Was only 102F yesterday. I think a cold front came in.

Does watering brown grass turn it green?
