Look carefully and you can see where the body has been molded to accept the rockers.

I also think it makes it look like there's too much stuff glommed onto the otherwise elegant and simple body - kind of like the Mitsu. Starion - just too much "extra" panels / pieces / lines / accents / armor plating / whatever.
