Sam, I think they look fine. I am obviously biased because I put them on my car. One thing you need to do to make it look better is raise them up. Get the top of the rocker flush with the bottom of the door so there is only one line there.

Honestly, I think the 968 rockers "work" a little better on my car due my two-tone color scheme. Around the base of the car, mine is a flat black. Flat black front bumper, rear bumper, and now the 968 rockers "joining" the two ends together more or less. My 968 mirrors and wing spoiler are flat black too, adding to the ffect. As dark as my car is, the effect is more subtle than red.

I love them Sam. Put them on!

Heh, it's no biggie, I was still groggy from waking up... The wierd thing is that my brother's name is Sam so I was pretty confused when somebody mentioned Sam. heh. I think the rockers look good on a 'regular' 944 but the lines do look a bit odd without the conituing line on the rear end. Only a porsche person would see it though, and even then not many.

This is the way 968 parts are done on a 944.

Learn young one, learn......

The reason the 968 rockers look better on a black car is because it's not as obvious that they bulge out, look out of place, and weren't made for the 944.
IMO, I think Porsche made some beautiful cars from the factory and some people go too far with their mods.

You must think they look out of place on 968's too then. They "bulge" just the same because the fenders and doors are the same. Given how they clip onto the outside of the 968 body, the rockers stick out more on 968's than on 944's. Porsche runs a little gasket down there though to pretty it up and cover the gap between body and rocker. All Porsche did at the factory is stick the 968 rockers over what was already there from the 944 series . . .no tricks!

I believe there are depressions for the rockers to fit into on a 968, so they don't stick out so much. Let me see if I can dig up a pic...

Here's the best I could quickly, from the GT racing website, notice the curved depressions:
