I just put a scratch in mine that won't polish out. Call me ****... it's starting to weigh on me.
Anyone have one from a parts car or as a spare in great shape that they'd be willing to part with? The three prongs need no longer be attached.

BUT seriously...can you feel the scratch? If you can, I say replace the cap. If it's just cosmetic...well, I guess I would want it perfect!
How did you scratch it Neal?

Thanks guys and congrats, Mark! I'd forgotten about your impending nuptuals.
I scratched the shift pattern when I was monkeying around with the stereo a few weeks ago. Since I just replaced my dashboard, it seems a little silly to now tolerate any imperfection in the cockpit.
Tom, if you brought one to pocono, you'd be my hero.

Three Wheelin'
Try this. I painted my pattern/ numbers white with high gloss white. Then after it dried sanded the top of the cap with 600, then 1000 then 2000 grit emery cloth. It looks really nice.
