Default Phone Dial thoughts

Just refinished the PD's on a black 944, light silver met.

What's your thought lug nuts? Should they be black, matching silver or chrome?

Pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Thnaks in advance!!!

My personal thoughts are to keep 'em black.

Thanks for the input.

Were they black from the factory on silver wheels?

I've seen both from the factory, personally I like them color matched to the wheels, but thats just my preference. I don't think there is a "right" or "wrong" answer.

Black. They came from the factory in black, plus, black does not show dirt or marks from the socket like painted silver lugs would. Chrome would just look, well, pimpy, with silver phonies.

Plus, the holes are deep enough that the black lugs tend to fade back into them anyway.

What about on a wheel with a rather large polished lip?
Im in need of a complete new set and was pondering the chrome ones but they may detract from the overall look by looking cheap/pimpy. - prob just stick with black.

When you guys refinish your wheels do you paint/powder coat your center caps as well? mine are silver and black and was wondering how I would do it?

I sprayed the caps silver to match.

Mine were black detaled as well. My next debate is to repaint the center caps 'black' only or go with the gold, red and black.

I'm not sure all the color would be better than just black and silver on a black car.

How about having them powdercoated to match your wheel center color? That would be nice.

Hey Jeremy, did you just call me a "pimp"?? Cool! Bling bling, rollin in da ice, yo! lol

For what its worth, my 968 is what came with silver lug nuts. The cars with phone dials I have seen all have black.

I had mine powdercoated when they did the wheels - dremeled off the crests, powdercoated, then glued crests back on. $10 each...

If you use a soft socket...the top will.
