Serge told me something good the other day and I think it fits here.. this quote may be a few words off but it was something like,
"My N/A feels quick when im on the road alone, when there is no minivans pulling away from me.."

But wait till you hit 3k in 3rd! WWWWHHHHHOOOOOOSSSSHHHHHH! Goodbye all the V8 crap! and the mazdas, toyotas, nissans and other imitators.
yay for NA! do you grow your stuff yourself or you got a good Columbian hook-up?
My 83 NA did felt surprisingly fast when i first drove it. I kinda expected it to be a lot less responsive on the highway speeds. The S2 is another world and def. feels like a strong german 6 from mid 90's. Still my friends 1.6l Miata with 170K tired motor and extra 12psi makes me wish i had a 951 to keep up with the bugger. Otherwise NA 944s are plenty for the street if driven at sane 10/10th.

It seemed like a good idea at the time! under the influence of Bundy Rum on the Road trip!
And it's better than calling him Gladys!!!!!

Grow myself! It's called OXYGEN!!! Comes with clean living and pure air!
And lot's of freedom! Plus, there are not a lot of 944's here, unlike the states!!

Is it called the black pearl because of the cloud of fog (smoke) that constantly surrounds it?

they are fast; fast enough to kill yourself in, and that much better when well sorted, maintained and running in cold air with the right amount of humidity.
Then again, fast is relative.
