I know, I've been following this. Can't wait to see it in Laguna Seca later this year. I was also hoping they enter the GT1 category with the Carrera GT or GT2.

Thanks for the link. I've been hoping with their involvement with penske that they might bring an engine to Indycar for the 2007 season. Probably just wishful thinking.

I bet this could be the ticket to get more to agree to a v8 in the back of the 911, since this will be a direct racing heritage motor. can't wait to see it run...

I would bet that these engines will be in future 911's. 3.4 V8's in these.

I also heard that BMW will race their new M6 in ALMS GT1 next year. Would be cool if Porsche entered the Carrera GT. Just think of the entries if this happens. Corvette, Porche, BMW, Aston Martin. It would be a great competition since GT2 is pretty boring now. It's basically Porsche GT3 vs Panos......

It does come quite close to resembling an F1 car. It's as if they told the F1 guys 'no more open wheels' - this is what you'd get.
