Just spoke to the original owner of my car
After a couple weeks of trying to reach her on the phone, I finally got her this morning.
What a nice lady she was, too. I found her through the information in the original maintenance book.
She was a little surprised to get a call from me!
I learned that:
The car, despite what my VIN number says about it's original colour, was originally blue. VIN says yellow originally.
Car did have the timing belt changed, but it was a long time ago. Yep, it's time!
Car was sold because son wanted to drive it....
Car was only sold a year and a half ago.
Car was sold to a SAAB dealer in Portland, OR.
She says she should still have all the work records on the car, and will send them.
Her son is saving his pennies to buy one, she said...
What a nice lady. I'm glad I found her

That's cool. I have only a little info about my car. I think it was owned in Louisiana and then Texas before I had it shipped here to California. Other than that, it's a mystery.

I spoke to the original owner of my red S2. the sumbich didnt tell me he had the head gasket replaced by a butcher. he did tell me the mileage was original and that he got more on the trade towards his land rover than i paid a dealer. he also told me he had an 84 and the 89 S2 at the same time.
I think if i researched the name philip essner I would find out he was a trach ho that loved to track his red S2 until the head gasket went.

We tracked down the original owner of my friends subaru to find out what this horrible smell inside the car was. It was so bad I couldn't ride in the car, and after a few minutes your clothes would smell like that. It was an old lady in CT, and she said she didn't know, but that is why she sold it to this junk dealer. Later the subaru dealership discovered several rats nests and dead rats in the heating/ac system. So much rat urine and dead rats it was amazing. It was cool that I tracked her down though. . . . .

Cool Wolfe. I met the original owner when he spotted the car in Peoria, Il. (I'm the 2nd titled owner- long story..) He was very glad it went to an enthusiast!
He was driving a 730i..
Now.. hows about some kickass new pickups for my Kramer Strat

I don't think many of us like our P.O.'s! I don't like the last few owners of my car actually,,,, whoever decided putting an early engine in a late car and doing it like a hack, was a jacka**

Tony.. isn't that Pete? lol
I know one of the PO's of my car. After I wrecked it and fixed it he came up to me and thanked me for putting it back together. I'm the 4th owner.

I can't see how the headgasket would blow (EVEN WITH MAJOR ABUSE) on a S2. The only way I can see it blowing a headgasket is if the engine got very hot and warped the head.

Hey Wolfe!
What sort of pickups would you recommend to upgrade a Gibson reverse Firebird copy? Anyone make good aftermarket p/u's that would fit?
BTW, that's the Firebird copy that drives around with me in my Porsche, of course! (This is a Porsche forum, right? )

It also depends on what kind of amp, pedals, and music style you're playing.
Send me pics.
