Check this out. My parents got me a certificate of authenticity from Porsche NA, and since Peter Schwarzenbauer owed us a small favor, he found the test plate used on my car on the factory test drive, and had a frame included too.

I'm unsure of what they mean by partial leather seats, they're all leather.

 

Very nice, that plate is cool too! When I called Porsche about info for my car and to look into the certificate of authenticity they had no info on my car, nothing...

 

the rear seat is vinyl and the sides of the front seats are vinyl. there was a full leather option.

very nice gift. i have one of those for my red S2, was told i could only buy necessities for the gray S2.

I've got one too... that sort of clearish thing with the black stripe and writing down the side with the pic of Dr. Porsche in front of the 356 fits nicely over the certificate in the frame, and makes it look neat, and you can still read the certificate...

 

You should be able to call 1800-porsche and get some info like the date your car was finished etc... They will usually tell you where to call and get the certificate.

 

it's about $100 and gives you the same info found in the warranty book or by the left tail light.

tis true, but it's DEFINATELY a cool conversation piece... and it looks great... Also, I've heard they score points at a concourse.

 

I would be afraid to get one...I'd probably find out mine feel into the bilge during transport and they sold it to gypsies who shined it up for resale.
