Default TPS Change in my S2?

I ordered a new TPS (yeah, I got the memo), and can't find a clear explanation on how I change it. Most posts say I have to remove the throttle body. But the Pelican tech forum says the turbo and S2 TPS isn't under the throttle body...? Anyone know how to change the TPS on an S2?

Also, I ordered a new vacuum line set from Lindsey Racing. Is there a handy guide (with photos) on how to change these as well?

I'm pretty clueless tonight!

Also...do I remove the old vacuum hose, measure it, and cut the new one to fit--one by one?

Andy,
The TPS on my S2 right there out in the open. While standing in front of the car, it will be on your right hand side. It is attached to the side of the throttle body. 2 phillips screws hold it in. Disconnect the wire harness that plug into the top of the TPS, unscrew the phillips, pull it off, reverse the order for installation. Follow the advise of the write ups, tip it down towards the front of the car until it stops, move the throttle linkage and make sure you hear a click. Tighten the philips screws, replace the wire connector and your done. It should take you less time that it took me to type this!!!!

You will need a stubby phillips screwdriver to access those screws. If it's not short enough, you'll have to remove the throttle body, like I did.

I have a stubby phillips...if it doesn't fit, I'll buy another one to avoid taking apart the throttle body, hoses, clamps, etc!

I also have one of those flat ratchet phillips tools...from my road bike tool kit. That would probably work.

You S2 guys have it so easy. On the 'S', you have to remove the intake manifold to service the TPS.

Glad SOMETHING about my car is easy! At least you S guys can change the air filter at will!

On the vacuum lines, you do indeed do them one at a time, measuring to fit. Are you having idle problems or some other sign of a vacuum leak?

Hey Neal-
No serious signs of a leak, but I figure fixing the TPS, I might as well replace the old vacuum lines...Lindsey racing had both parts, and I saved on shipping, so for an extra $30, I ordered the vacuum kit.

It certainly couldn't hurt and might save you some headache down the road. Definitely go slow, take notes, and try to replace them one at a time. I ended up with only one line at the end that I couldn't find a home for. Fortunately, Eyal had his head off at the time and was able to post an excellent picture for me of the spot on the firewall that the hose connected to.
