Default PET Catalog on CD-ROM - Where to buy?

Someone mentioned that there's a legal way to get the entire PET catalog on CD-ROM now. Is this true? Anyone know where?

You can also buy it from the porsche dealer for about $12.

The part number is 000.043.400.05, in case your parts guy is too lazy or too stupid to look it up.

They are out, and I am out, and everyone to my knowledge is out. The PETs were a single run given to the major US distributors to be GIVEN away to their big customers. They were not given away, they were sold. Now they are out and Porsche is not making any more. Will they? No one knows.

On related news, I got a kick *** Porsche lawyer letter about the PETs. They overnight FedEx'd it to me and everything. It was even on snazzy parchment. I had to call and explain it to them, and let them know that THEY were the ones making copies and THEY were the ones who sold them to me. The lawyers didn't even know about Porsche selling these. They said "We are always the last to find out about things like this."

I am going to frame the letter.. You haven't made it in the Porsche world until Porsche tries to take you to court!!! YaY, I am somebody now!!!

I got mine from Sunset Porsche. They apparently were not a limited run and are still cranking them out. Had to ship from Germany though, backordered with a 1 month wait, but got it with no probs. Damn thing's worth it's weight in gold... Well, ok it's kinda light... more like worth 1,000 times it weight in gold ;-)

Check with Renee Anderson at mr928@928intl.com. I got mine from them about a month and a half ago.

Why would they care if you have a copy of their catalog?!?!? Their parts counter guys are rarely helpful, so if we were able to look up the part number ourselves, we might actually spend money on Porsche parts, and not waste the parts guys time convincing him to keep looking for the part # of a $3.00 piece
