Default Odd parts request - strut tower

If anyone is scrapping a shell sometimes soon (mostly if they are cutting it up), I would like to request one or both strut towers. They don't even have to be nicely separated from the rest of the coachwork. Strange request, I know.

I have been pondering a modification to my race car but I've been circumspect about attempting the modification w/o trying it out first. I was pondering it a bit some more this afternoon when I remembered a couple of people recently cut up some shells. Brilliant of me to think about it AFTER they scrap them.

Anyway, if someone plans on scrapping a 944 or 924 shell in the not too distant future, I would love to have the strut towers. I'll pay for shipping of course, and if you want a little more for your trouble, that's fine too.

I'd be happy to share the results with everyone, although it's a modification I doubt many would want to do to their road car. I know I wouldn't do it to a road 944 unless it was mainly a track **** or simply a stripped down, harsh, annoying to live with road car.

If anyone is scrapping a shell, please let me know.

OK guys, I'm going to keep doing this until someone offers to cut up their car (preferably a junker).

AznDrgn is cutting up his early 924 this weekend but I am not sure about the similarities between it's towers and those of anything past 85.5. I know that he was supposed to be cutting out his floor board for me since I need a little "rust repair"

Awesome! I have an early 944, so the towers should be a match, or enough of one to prove out my mod.

I'll PM him.

Thanks.

That would be awesome! Timing would be perfect too.

The attached photo is what I need - just the tower portion. I don't need the fender portion, although I realize that it will be easiest to just cut the towers out of the fenders and a bit of fender will be attached. No sweat.

Oh, and the bottom half of the tower can be cut away as well to make it easier (easier to cut the fender than the frame rail).

Geo, call me at work on Wednesday 281 370 8333. I have the number of a junkyard in town that has an early turbo 924, that is almost stripped.

Awesome! Yes, I would like it. I may need more than one so I'll be in touch with other folks (I'm ham fisted sometimes and might screw up the first one).
