Thanks! You'd be even more surprised if I told you how cheap the paint was thanks to a small town connection. The color is '04 Vette Millenium Yellow.

Very nice job! But why did you use an AutoZone steering wheel? Top it off with a 930 or momo wheel.

Looks good!

Simply amazing! Looks like OZ951 has a twin car!! Is that a nitrous bottle wrapped up in the porsche blanket?

Aesthetically improved steering is in the works. The pics don't quite do it justice. The pattern matches my seat and the horn button looks very good in person. I'm following the 930 wheel thread but have never seen a MOMO wheel I like.

Stunning. I like every aspect of your project, expecially the rims. Please post the specs on these, ie cost, manufacturer, sizes, tires, tire sizes, etc. Having gone through a similar route, lots of work is required.

Is that a nitrous bottle ready to be plumbed in the rear?

Anyway, it is very nice and you have gone the extra mile with the GT3 replica rims (love the deep lips in the rear), the 951 bumper cover and AIR lower front splitter. Nice. The [edit] vette Yellow is tops.

I just bought the AJUSA 930 steering wheel for my early '85 944 - transformed the car, as did my original 968 CS wheel did back on my old '87 944.

Now for some camera out the window driving and or DE, or autocross photos...

OZ was my inspiration. Seats are some basic racing seats ala ebay. I found a local speed shop that carried them and tried them out before buying. They're actually pretty well made and comfortable and fit my 3" 6pt harnesses.

That is a N2O bottle in a custom blanket. If any of you run nitrous I can send you the contact to get one.

The wheels are BSA 18" that were on another 951 I picked up. They're 18x8 front and 18x10 in the back, and they are adjusted for EARLY OFFSET! No spacers in front and 1/4" 951 spacers in the rear. The tires are a bit too tall so I get some rubbing in hard cornering. I'll be putting a proper tire on it shortly. The wheels are a bit heavier than I'd like, but I think all 18" rims are a bit heavier than I'd like.

Very nice car but I do not like the rear bumper. From what car did you stick it there??

FYI, so far the project has been:
All maintenance brought current
Paint and body full R&R.
Engine freshening
Nitrous Express Wet kit (much more to it than that...won't be melting pistons anytime soon)
Addition of methanol injection in a week or so.
Interior color change and carbon fiber trim with new carpet, seats, wheel, etc.
A pillar with Pyrometer and Vac, N20 Guage in console panel with switches
BSA wheels 18x8 and 18x10 wheels
'86 turbo brakes with vented rotors
Speed 6 short shift
Koni Yellow's at all corners
G-Force 6 pt harnesses
Turbo rear sway
250# lowered springs in the front with 1" spacers so I don't rip off the...
AIR front splitter
Factory turbo bumper and lights from willing donor
Fiberwerks rear bumper
968 Door handles and mirrors with keyless entry
Fire extinguisher
STOCK INTAKE wow, it really works. I've been through three cone filter setups and ditched them
Stainless exhaust to be installed next week

More on the wheels at http://www.bsa.com.my/wheels/215a.htm

BTW, special thanks to MattH, Jason86-951, Danno, OZ951 and Tifo. Without their help and encouragement this would still be a pile of parts in my garage.
