Default OMG! I have a GAS LIGHT!

So today i get into my car and see that im running pretty low on gas.. but im also running low on time.. class starts at 10 15.. and i have a 30 or so mile commute to get there.. "ill fill up after class" i say..

In the year and a half that ive had the car.. ive never seen the gas light come on.. EVER! Not even when i turn the key to the first and second switch.. when all the other lights come on...

so im on the 2 south.. ****ting in my pants cuz im thinking ima run out of gas any second now.. i had never been that low before.. When all of a sudden.. the lil red light comes on! I had the biggest smile in the world.. (yes im a dork)
then up ahead.. a pristine 356 cab.. beatiful.. then i almost get pulled over by CHP but thats another story..
so yea.. for those you have never seen ur gas light come on.. there is still hope..!

im just proud of myself that ive never let the gas get too low in the time of my ownership for hte light to come on.. well until today that is..

At least we're not paying $1.50 per liter, like some other people.

hahaha

I thought the same. Owned the car 6 years before I saw the light come on in my 944. Only reason I let it go that low.....I was buying the 951 that day and didn't want to fill it up

This light scares me. Have to pay $100 for a tank - consider that we earn average 5 times less than in "old country".........

Yikes, I see the reserver light come on every now and again. Gas isn't to bad here, $2.13 for premium.

After putting 20.2 gallons in one day, I've decided my light is most likely not as nice as yours is. I can't complain too much though. Honestly, how many sports cars do you know of that can consistantly get 22-23 mpg?

Treat 1/4 tank as empty and fill up when it gets close to that mark. Granted it doesn't mean you pay any less in gas consumption per week, but it's psychologically easier to stomach five $40 fill-ups a month than four $50 fill-ups.

Humans are weird like that.

I definately don't have that light. I've run out of gas to prove it.

yea im usually good with filling up before it gets too low.. just got lazy this past week.. plus taxes owned my paycheck so i was trying to spread out the week.. monday is payday..

are u sure we have another 50 miles when the light comes on? that seems like a lot..
one more thing.. ive never been able to fill it up with more than 17 or so gallons.. i thought i had a 21 gallon tank?

but now i wanna run low on gas so i can see the light again.. i cant help it.. its so.. beautiful..
i even showed me friends before i filled it up..
