Me thinks that if you inspected that car in person, you would pass on it. Anyone who has taken the time to install the SFR exhaust and other bits that he has would want to show you the shots of the good stuff. If there are no good shots of the interior or engine bay, that means those areas are in need of some attention. No offense if the owner is a lister here, but that car looks like it has been ran hard and put away wet. $6K sounds cheap, but I bet it will turn into a $10K car fast. Look at what nice S2 cabs and coupes can be had at that price range right now.

Here's a 1990 S2 Cab with similar mileage (no stopped odometer), for 8500 with no reserve:

I think you'd want to get that other car at the lower end of the price range. But, it would be an interesting project depending on what you could fix on your own.

Maybe I'll look into that. Either that or I'll just hang onto the 951 for now until winter. The S2 cabs tend to go for cheaper in winter I've noticed - as much as $1,000 or $2,000 cheaper.
It's a bit gut-wrenching, I love the 951 in its own way and I really feel like I personally saved it from a P.O. that neglected it and had I not bought it, it would have just wasted away. She's a heck of a lot of fun, but I just think in general a 951 is one of those things that one feels compelled to keep chucking money at ad infinitum, so at some point I should "cut the cord" and get something like an S2 cab, 968 cab, or Boxster. Something I still think is a blast to drive but I don't feel inadequate about if it isn't modded to hell and making 350+ RWHP. I actually talked to a local dealer that has a nice red 911 turbo targa (yes it really is both) sitting on his lot. He wants $15k and would have taken my 951 as a trade-in on it, but only to the tune of $6k. Not worth it. I should easily be able to get $7,500 for mine given all the work I've done to it, plus that 911 had obvious oil leakage and a cracked dash (etc.) despite the guy's claims that the engine and trans were "just rebuilt" (uh huh).
Point is, I like the 951 but probably don't plan on keeping it forever. They're fun but seeing as a group of us is looking at getting seriously into spec racing and I'll have a Callaway turbo to play with, is it really necessary? Nah. I think the others (911, S2 cab, 968, etc.) are classier and less of a boy toy anyway.

Well to answer the original question, the color looks to be Titan Grey, which is the same color as mine, just with a burgundy top and and interior. Both colors were available stock, but just not combined very often. And just for the record, buying a beat S2 Cab is going to be a big investment, you're looking at 1K to replace the top, almost another 1K to replace the seal and there are several cab specific parts that are incredibly difficult to find (read: expensive) I would pass up on this car and try and ****** a different cab that had been taken care of. Well worth the initial investment.

As if the 944 didn't have a back seat the way it is, I love it with the top down, it turns the back seats into nifty cubby holes.
Why does the front bumper of the grey one look like it has zip ties holding it on.
I don't think the headlights are to far out of whack, I think its the nose piece that is off.

Seriously how much would you have to have for the 951? PM Me with that info please.
