Unhappy Hate to see things like this S2 Cab F/S Not Mine:(

Browsing through eBay and happened across this S2 Cab

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6434

Why can't I have a bigger garage??? I haven't seen that color combo either, is it some sort of SE?

6 grand? That's not a bad price! It would be hard for me to buy a naturally aspirated 944 again once I've experienced boost, though...

Then again, warm CA summers...

looks kind of beat to me, the lines on the front look off and no fog lights. It is probably 6k for a reason.

Man, that is a nice car. I love S2 Cabs, I would really love to find one one day. That is a cool colour combo, but I'm not a huge fan of burgundy.
That one looks like a decent deal...though the headlight and header panels arent really lining up, kinda fishy...
But $6k buy it now, if I was ANYWHERE near that thing I would definitely check it out!

Front end damage. Kinda weird looking with the burgandy top. I'd say pay more and get a better one, unless this one can be had for $4K.

It's interesting the difference between KBB and NADA in pricing. KBB is 5.2K/good-6K/excelent compaired to NADA 7.5K to 11.5K. I wonder what the difference is. If that car is well sorted out it sounds like price wise it is in the ballpark for a good buy.

I would love to know what the option codes are on the car That might be a deal closer for quite a few people.

Regarding the retail price of KBB and NADA. At KBB it depends on if you picked private party retail value or suggested retail value (dealers' asking prices). Most dealerships won't give you nearly as much as the car is worth. That is probably why the numbers are so off between the two sources.

If anyone is interested, I'll sell my 951 to get it. I'd honestly rather have a cabriolet anyway, seeing as I'm building one turbo car right now and having two isn't as important to me as having one really built for speed and one built for comfort / driving pleasure. I think the s2 cab. would fit the latter need for me more than the 951 does. Any takers on a 3-way?

What looks beat about it? It's missing the foglights (big deal) and it seems like the guy is being reasonably forthright about it. Even if I have to do some work to it, who cares? It's still a million times easier than working on a 951!

From the listing it sounds like the guy said he had a front end "kiss" at some time and a re-spray. He also says that he has the lamps and the motors for the top. The lens on the top even looks clean. It would be worth seeing a PPI for sure? Anyone up for it in the area?

EDIT: not for me, my wife wouldn't be pleased loosing her garage space and the '83 doesn't leave often She has told me that I could get a parts car for the '83 but I wouldn't know which one to swap the parts out of? I don't think that this would qualify.

You'd probably get over it once you realise you'd lost the lag as well...
