What do you guys like for a fuel injector/system cleaner
I just bought another 32oz bottle of Lucas fuel injector cleaner. Cost me about $10 and I have had very good results with it. 4oz per dose, I add to my friends and families cars whenever they stop by the garage. I like it alot.
Helped smooth idle and responce throut the RPM band.
Its concintrated and quite thick. I used to have a customer at the parts shop I worked at buy it by the gallon and say he'd notice up to 5mpg increase when used.
I usally use in the tank at every oil change. I have also used Chevron Techron with good results.
I was just curious what you have used and liked?
Anyone try using Seafoam through the intake system?
What is the company that does the good injector cleaning and flow balancing?

I use 44K from B&G... it's great stuff.... I can get better gas mileage, and it definately runs smoother, and I dunno if the performance benefits are in my mind, but it seems to add a little bit more pep, and faster throttle response...
but like I said, that might be in my head... good luck!

If you are getting immediately better responsiveness from adding an injector cleaner, it's probably because the cleaner is raising your octane. If a higher octane gas is readily available in your area, this should be something worth considering.
I discovered this when I lived in CA. Terrible low-octane stuff. Techron worked great as an octane booster.
For actually getting my injectors cleaned, I sent them off to RC Engineering. That worked really well.

well BG 44K is nearly as expencive as the Deer in heat urine I've been using, but I've heard great things about it and BG MOA oil treatment. (but I run Redline synth oil and dont use additives)
Along the lines of fuel additives I have heard that Isopropic alcohol (used in gas line anitfreeze) is harmful to the linings of German cars fuel lines. Can anyone elaborate?
Where is the in house chemical engineer to explain the molecular properties and compostion of the injector cleaners we are using and give us the scientifical expanination which one is best?

I use a 50/50 blend of mineral-spirits and ATF. No more than a 1/2-cup per tank... Not sure I've ever seen a dirty fuel system though... at least not from deposits of any sort. Those usually appear in the combustion chambers after its been burnt and sticky. The majority of the clogging stuff is particulate matter. Usually due to a bad fuel-filter.

Three Wheelin'
Redline SL1 as recommended by Markus Blaszak .
Each bottle will treat 100 gallons of gas, but I prefer to add the entire bottle to a fresh tank of gas every 6 months or so.

Google adding toulene to gas, to find out how much it takes to effectively raise your octane.

I'm a fan of pulling the in injectors and backflow/flush them with carb cleaner.
ie. putting a tube full of carb cleaner on the injector, pressurizing it with an air compressor, and clicking the injector on and off 'till the cleaner runs through freely. Then doing it again with the cleaner going through the right way.
30-45 minutes of work and not adding any funny stuff to the gas.

"Google adding toulene to gas, to find out how much it takes to effectively raise your octane."
yeah, toluene is 114-octane, so you gotta add about 1/2-gallon per tank to raise overall octane by 1.0 point 91 -> 92 octane.
"What makes you think it's toluene in the injector cleaner that's raising the octane level? You seem to be assuming that adding toluene is the only way to raise octane - not so."
The best octane-boosting compounds are organometallics. These tend to be 2-3x more concentrated per volume than hydrocarbons. But... organometallics adds A LOT of deposits to your engine as they are burnt and concentrated from combustion. Kinda defeats the purpose of a fuel-system cleaner, eh? But organometallics don't have a linear response curve, the first amounts adds the most bump in octane and additional amounts won't increase it as much, you reach diminishing returns quickly.
The thing to remember here is that cleaning your fuel-system will ONLY restore your car to ground-zero, as-new condition, or stock HP. It will NOT give you more power than stock. So if you've added a fuel-cleaner and noticed an improvement of any sort, you're basically just taking your car from 92% back to 99% condition.
