Talking 944Fest Updates

Heya Folks, just a quick post to remind you we've got a great event on the calendar July 16-17th here in Ohio, the 5th annual 944fest. I've been making reservations with the lodge, the dyno guy, the tent people, the caterers, the technicians, and a whole lot of sponsors to make this thing happen. Brian S has been a great help down in Lexington with his local contacts, my mechanic Chris Moore helped me assemble some awesome powder coated piston trophies, Tifo chipped in some trophy toppers, things are taking shape. I sent in a notice to Autoweek to place in their "events" notices, I plan to place adverts in other related magazines soon. Anyone buddy-buddy with regional PCA newsletter folks who might run an ad for us?
I've got a small side project going that will hopefully add a touch of class to the event, a front engine Porsche themed art show! I've been gathering some of those big Porsche calendars with awesome artsy prints (posters!) of our cars. I'm going to throw some $$$ at getting them framed and show them at the Fest, and sell them off to raise some cash. If you want a very nice deco for home or garage, I'm betting you will be impressed with the wares. If anyone else out there is inclinded to produce some sort of front engined artwork, bring it on and I'll add it to the show. My wife is an art major and I'm trying to get her to create some entries, she's working on some prints and we may have some originals to share, we'll see. Take the rear end of your parts car and make a lit wall hanging, bent-rim bookends, crankshaft table lamps, headlight desk lamps, whatever! I don't really expect a lot of contributions here, but anything is welcome.

ANYway, mark your calendars. July 16th and 17th, Lexington Ohio. THE place to be if you have or enjoy front engine Porsches. Spread the word. Bring a friend. Two days of fun and fellowship like no other car event ever. Did I mention it is FREE? Food/drink/camping/fun/prizes.

Be there! http://www.944fest.com

Who's coming?

As long as my car is running, I'll be there!

Matt, think you'll actually have your car running, or will you need to bum a ride again?

Awesome, awesome, awesome guys! Winslow, plz e-mail me at 944fest AT adelphia.net so I can get some info regarding sponsor credits. Is your dyno-churning beast top secret until then?

Just about three months.. I can't wait!!
