Stock exhaust pipe diameter?
simple question.
anyone know what the stock exhaust pipe diameter is for a 85.5 944 N/A
i think the turbo's are 2 1/2" but is the N/A the same? or is it 2 1/4"
thanks

2.25" for your car.

I'd like to know the same thing since I was about to get a stainless exhaust tip with a 2.5" inlet for my NA discussed in this thread:

The Ractive T820 tip itself is pretty cheap here although I have no expereince with this vendor:

A muffler will not add as much as it will on a turbo, but the stock muffler is pretty restrictive. The SFR system uses a 2.5" pipe, mandrel bent, with a straight through Borla cat back. I have not had my car dyno'd, but I'd say it added 5-15Hp and the sound is incredible. It'd be annoyingly loud for a daily driver, but it's awesome for my uses.
From what I've read on the board, the cat is actually pretty good and flows better than a high flow from what I've heard and has a built in resinator.
