Default wheels

what is the best way to refinish the phone dial wheels. the ones on my 944 really show their age (17) and are now just a dull greyish white.

Do a search, this has been discussed. In a nutshell...it depends on what you want. The cheapest way is to sand them and repaint. Do 400/600/1000 grit then follow with 6-8 light coats of Duplicolor wheel paint. Wait an hour. Then go for 6 light coats of duplicolor clearcoat.

Expensive solution include sandblasting...maybe polishing....powdercoating. There are many routes to take.

you can powdercoat pretty cheaply now days.. i had a guy around here quote me $50 per wheel... and then you don't have to worry about paint chipping off...
