NACA Inlet
Can this inlet be put on my hood in the place where the dent is? Has anybody installed these inlets? What would I have to do under the hood in the engine area?

I'd say if you're going to do that, I'd just go buy a 931 hood... the duct is slightly more towards the left, but looks great IMHO... need to modify it so it can use hood shocks, IIRC

A spark plug popped out and hit the hood.
Why not just get the hood fixed at a body shop? I know of a great body shop in Garden City owned by my friends father. Let me know if you want a referall.

You can fix that dent easily with a dolly, rag and hammer. Come on over, I'll do it for free. And if I mess up, it'll still cost less than before at the body-shop because that's how they're gonna start the repairs anyway.
On the NACA duct, I've got one that actually functions, air-cleaner bolts directly onto turbo:

Body shop wants about $525.00 to do it. Was thinking about the duct, don't care if it was functional just thinking a cheaper way to go because would just be cuting the dent out. Don't know too much about that stuff so don't know if it could be done/or should be done. Found I can pick up a used black hood for about $75. The shop said it had a dent in it as if someone closed the hood on something. Might go check that out.

Techno - Got a friend of the family who has a body shop. Don't think he really wants to do it. Said about $400 if he did. Told me to use some black touch-up and put some clear nail polish on it to protect it.
Dan - I'm on the way.....
Dolly, Rag, Hammer.... sounds like stuff my kids play with. Are there any good "how to" body work sites?

Danno,
I cut my OEM inlet tube so the flat part of it now rests over the J-boot. Will your NACA duct work? I did it to emulate the one on the 968 Turbo S. However, some cold inlet air would certainlty be nice.

You can pick up the duct anywhere. Cut a matching hole in the hood and that's it.
Zach, I can't visualize the configuration you have, please send me a photo. If you look closely at the picture, the arrangement I have completely seals off the air-cleaner from the engine-compartment. All the air comes from outside.
