I have a H&K .40 sub compact for carrying and a .38 for fun.
Carrying where? It is illegal here.

The good news (maybe) is that I am not technically a resident of Illinois and it appears that means I dont have to have the FOID card. Strange, these rules. You have to have an Illinois license to apply for the FOID card (which I dont) and I keep an address in Texas.

What is even more strange is that there are cities where I firearm cannot even be transported, bah, these crazy liberals.

I just meant cheap ammo. I don't mind spending on the actual pistol..

Can't spend to much now.. I'm building a 2.5 and 2.8ltr motor and this expensive hobby in conflicting with the rest of my expensive hobbies which is kicking the crap out of my bank account.. hee hee

Can't carry here but I used to in CT..till I moved to this damn state. I have a permit to carry a concealed weapon.

Crazy thing is.. I was in the same boat as you with the out of state stuff but, I could have the gun and transport it around IL but I could not fire it at the range unless I was with someone with a FOID card.

I figured. Cheap to feed, so to speak.

The Mod 41 is a great piece. Usually run around $800 down here. YMMV

It definitely can be an expensive hobby. I don't think about that much. Kind of like adding up the receipts for the 951 - I just don't do it.

Get one because, here is the other dumb IL law or range rule, one guest per foid card.

I need some action shots!

Memorial weekend I will be attending the biggest machinegun shoot of my year and will expend somewhere in the range of 3000-5000 rounds depending on what I want to spend.

So it's a secret?
I guess. A secert to me as well. I could in no way, shape or form get the car to make the noise while Keith and Kevin were here.

I have driven it a couple of miles since then....noise gone....

I dunno....

Ah, IC. I love things that fix themselves. Well, not really. Strange.
