Default Porsche repair in INDY.

I hear Farmer's is great but has anyone tried Euro Motorworks off of I-69 or Black Forest Motors?

Never tried Black Forest Motors , and I have never had my 951 at Euro Motorworks. I took my brother's car there and had no problems, but I've heard from other locals that you need to tell Terry exactly what you want done and what you don't want done. I've heard from a person or two that he likes to fix things that were not a part of the original order without authorization. Just what I've heard, not happened to me personally. I'm just glad I work on my own car.

Never heard a complaint about Farmer...other than him complaining about 951s.

Some generous Listers have offered to help me change my timing belt so I can learn how to do it. I would really like to learn how to work on my car but I've developed a progressive oil leak that I can't seem to locate. I would hate to tear the front of the engine apart only to learn that it's something I can't do in my garage.

if the leak is in the front end it's something we can do there at your place more than likely.

Thanks badcoupe.

As I mentioned, I'd hate to open up the front end and have it be something that can't be solved in my garage....

Another option that you might check out is AIM tuning on Gasoline Alley. They are very good and specialize in mazda's and Porsches. I drove past a couple days ago and there was a 944, 912, and 928 sitting at the shop.

Let me know when you plan on getting together. I would like to observe and Introduce myself. I bought my car in Jan. It has been in the shop getting a new oil pan gasket, steering rack, tie rods and balance shaft seal. I am hoping it is complete by this weekend. Oh by the way Euro Motorworks is very good however they are a bit pricey. I have had previous cars there before. Bob Farmer is very good with sharing info with you. A nice way to say he talks alot. But, he is extremely knowledgeable and reasonably priced.

Ive actually heard great things about AIM tuning as well. (My dads a huge miata nut) haha...

dmfclf82 - Is euromotorworks doing your work?

Farmers a great guy, but I would feel bad taking him my oil pan gasket job - I just know he would be cussing out 44s the whole time and I feel for his family

No I am having a friend do it. He owns a GM dealership. It is a side job for them. Have had issues with b/o parts and long shipping times as well as wrong parts being shipped. I am hoping it will be complete by Saturday.
