Default Performance Headers for 944

I was looking at these headers for my 944 N/A from MSDS for only $207. Has anyone had any luck with these? If you have did you dyno it afterward? They claim a minimum of 14% HP increase but for the price it doesn't seem right.

Remember kids, 76.6969% of all stats and numbers are pulled out of someones rear end. And if said numbers sound too good to be true...

Porsche designed and built some very good headers as stock. I dont think anyone has posted dynos shows anywhere near 14% increase.

Stock headers are very good. Buy new ones for BLING ONLY.

Good luck.

I think that if you install the headers and have a custom chip made with the car on a dyno, and exhaust made to optimize the header that 14% seems reasonable.

Nope.. not with MSDS headers anyway.
14% is like 20 hp. Not going to happen buddy.

We're dealing with a 20yr old sports car not a current supercar. 20hp isn't black magic. Its only an engine "it" doesn't know that porsche is its maker. Temp. can affect the output by 10hp so making it breath better will make more power.

M758 has the dyno numbers to back up his assertion that the MSDS headers will not help much. Check out his website

I have the MSDS header on my car and i cant wait to take them off. They are rusty after only a few years. There is no difference in power....my vote would be to save your money.

If you want an old rusty set let me know.

Age doesn't matter. The 944's intake and exhaust is done remarkably well. That's a fact. No, 20hp isn't black magic, but you're not going to get it will a bolt on (excluding forced induction). Period.

No kidding. Probably the only area where you will be able to get any hp out of. But at that cost, might as well drop a chevy v8 in.

Maybe so, but I kind of doubt the engineers at MSDS are better than the ones at Porsche.

Dyno tests have shown the majority of performance pipes for bikes actually REDUCE power. It's all about noise and bling.
