Exclamation It's a Z24 911 !

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...529988458&rd=1

Anybody - and I mean ANYBODY - that puts a Chevy v8 in a 911 should be put permanently in a room with a NASCAR-only television, a cooler full of Coors Light, a computer that access only Yahoo message boards, Delta Burke in her "grande" persona, and a bureau full of stained wifebeaters and Skoal cans. This is...terrible.

Personally, I think the car is executed very well. However, theres a plethora of advantages to using a chevy v8. To each his own.

Similar threads have been started before and another one doesn't serve a purpose, especially when you come out sounding this opinionated. But maybe you're just trying to be funny.

Take it easy.

I pity the poor soul who buys that and tries to take to to a shop. "You have a what?" $$$+$$$$=very rich shop owner. Also the missing spoiler vent top is a very classy change to the classic whaletail.
to each their own.

I would drive that any day of the week. If I had the money, I'd swap an LT1 into an 86 944 n/a.

I've never seen anything like this done before. I have to admit, i'm amazed they could make it fit and work. It was tail happy before, imagine what it's like now. Word to that car's next owner: DON'T LIFT! :-D

Where is that GeorgeV8911 guy to tell everybody how his V8 911 + NOS can beat anything on the road. I sure to miss those massive flamewars.

That thing is a heap, so hack. Look at the tires. You could take it for a sick spin off roadin' tho.

OMG that thing is a complete HACK! Just look at it, the engine compartment is the only thing that looks *decent*. Another 912 bites the dust, RIP.

not real keen on the whole small block thing but i think they did a helluva job! Makes the last one i saw on ebay look real bad, engine was in the front! Thats one way to eliminate those 80,000 mile rebuilds.

I believe it is Z/28 not Z24. the Z24 is a cavalier. I guess you meant to say. Anyone who would incorrectly advertise that they put a 150 hp four cylinder engine in a porsche should be put permanently in a room with a NASCAR-only television, a cooler full of Coors Light, a computer that access only Yahoo message boards, Delta Burke in her "grande" persona, and a bureau full of stained wifebeaters and Skoal cans. A V8, now that's a horse(power) of a different color.

When did worthless old 912s with salvage titles become sacred? Some would say adding a CAI to a 944, or a different stereo to a 944 or heaven forbid a short shift **** or turbo motor to a 944 is sacriledge as well.

Lighten up, have fun, enjoy the ride. I don't wanna see the rear end of that in my rear view mirror on a fast sweeper.

remember, the 912 was the "bastard" porsche poster child... until the 924 came along.

It is neither a Z28 nor a Z24. The ZZ4 is a Chevrolet crate motor making about 400 or 450 hp. (I can't remember off the top of my head.)

I'm still a bit bull-headed on this one: Big, Powerful Motor + Small, Lightweight Car = A Whole Lot of Fun!

GO MOTOR!!!
