When it was driven all the time it had a slight knocking sounded to be coming from of the valve cover till she warms up then the knocking goes away . It sat over 6 months till i got her a fuel pump and when we crancked her she still knocks when shes cold and stops when she warms up. my mom thinks its funny and said the car is just shivering but i really want to figure out what it is and fix it.

 

Probably the valve-adjusters. Get some B.G. Products lifter-cleaner and it'll dissolve all the gunk out.. This particular stuff is the best, spend some time calling around to see if you can find it. It's easily twice as good as the more common stuff you find on the shelves.

 

Do i have to open it up to put that stuff in there?

 

It's prolly just something that goes in the oil...

 

I found some of the BG product stuff but dont really know which is the lifter cleaner or if its even on hear.
