Default Should I cop an attitude...?!

I emailed a PCA member in regards to a car FS. I saw a pic and it prompted a question so I asked what was done and the reply I got was "the car is FS let me know if interested in purchasing"

All I wanted to know is how the intake was modified and it seems I have to buy the car to get the answer. SAD!!!

Should I drop it or reply with an attitude?
TIA
Dal

Persue it if its worth it without attitude. Ask for pics.. You'll find out if attitude is warranted.

Hey Chris!

Oh I just wanted some info and the pics don't show what I wished to know. I realize selling is a PITA answering questions but that is the nature of the game. If you cannot answer a simple question then don't sell! That is my opinion for all it is worth.

So I just replied to appologize for bothering and I will figure it out myself.

Getting at the point Chris where any questions I have may as well be not asked. And you know what it is my own damn fault for being inquisitive and eager to learn!

It sure is going to be hard for me to even think about asking questions anymore. Sometime one bad apple does ruin the whole bushel!!

Thanks bud!

Give him grief man. I hate people who can't be bothered to read simple questions. Ignorance is not bliss for those on the recieving end!

I was not interested in purchasing the car so I understand the reply, but I sure can refer those who are interested to the seller. Guess I will not be doing this for this person.

"the car is FS let me know if interested in purchasing"
I'm sorry, I'm not able to purchase the car. I was just wondering if you could tell me how the intake was modified on this car..

Thanks in advance,

Dal

That is how I would have handled it. I think making a thread about it is going way overboard!

Thanks Rich and I agree to a point. I did basically do what you suggested. But I started the thread to get an idea how others percieve it so I could react in the proper manner. Had I not posted this thread I know I would have been MUCH NASTIER in my reply so I asked to see how others reactions would be before I make an *** out of myself anymore than I have already done.

Unfortunately, the world is full of a**holes.
Even more when they are selling a car with a "crest" on the hood.
Find another car

I listed all the mods on my Z28 in the ad. I got a lot of questions about how much HP it produced. I told them I never dynod the car and had no idea. After answering the same question enough times i wanted to say look it up, HTF should I know how much HP. Do I look like a friggin dyno?

A guy looks at the car, likes the mods, then asks if it was ever raced, i tell him never to the drag strip, never to the track but to a few autocrosses. He says he doesnt want the car because it was raced! yeah real hard at 40mph in second!

WTF? You ask how fast it is, ask how much power it is putting down and then when i tell you it spanked some 944s you dont want it!!!

the car was modded and then driven by my grandma to church on sunday!! is that what you wanted to hear?

I got a clown asking me to split the ticket for him to fly in so he could buy the car. when I said knock 400 off the price and get your own plane ticket he complained.

when I told one guy that I wanted the 7700 it was advertised for, but was really busy with my buddy dying, and would give it to him for the no hassle price of 7000, and take it to any shop etc he wanted, he comes back with 6000! I specifically said I dont want to haggle, this is a bottom line price. that ended the discussion as far as I was concerned. had he looked at the car and approached it rationally he may have gotten it for 6500. Im not going to negotiate to my bottom price over the web, only to have you hack me when you see it. take it or leave it!

If you dont want the car, but have a question, I would be happy to answer the question. just dont jerk me around with questions under the pretense that you are a buyer. we are enthusiasts, and enthusiasts help each other out.

Ask the question as a question, not as a buyer if you aren't a buyer.

the guy that bought it didnt shive a git about the mods, just wanted a clean car for his son, and didnt bust my *****. glad I sold it to him for less, because he made the transaction smooth, and offered to escort me with his partner to the bank with the cash. cool, two armed bodyguards, I would have felt like puff daddy man!

The seller is probably annoyed and my question was not of interest to buy so the seller reacted not to give out info by the reply I got. No big deal really but when I am given some kind of attutude in a reply I have a tendancy to react rather than think so I asked how some here would react so I could decide how I wished to respond. Wanted a second opinion on how others read into the issue is all. I could have went off the deep end on the seller but atleast had the mindset to stop, ask then reply.
