Default Someone save this car!

Looks like Euro-spec according to the front bumper, side markers and VIN plate -- though not the rear bumper. And it's MY83 and has cloth sports seats. The seller is threatening to part it out if noone buys the car: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7954146862.
He's asking for alittle too much, unfortunately....

Way too much money for so many unkowns. This car was up on ebay about a few weeks ago and I think it only got up to a couple of hundred dollars.

I tried to buy that car the last time it was one e-bay. Not a bad buy at 1k if the engine is good. Such a shame if he does part it out. You guys know how I have saved cars before that still had lots of good miles left. Should be a crime to part a whole un-damaged car.

Correct me if I am wrong but the only thing special about that car is it has euro panels on it and it has a euro motor which is pretty much just an '88 motor. Other than those items it is pretty much the same as any other '83 you can find.

yeah, must have been replaced at some point.... or maybe it was in some kind of weird market that required that kind of rear bumper, not really sure. But those seats are AWESOME!!!!

There was a thread a little while back https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-944-951-968-forum/123641-is-this-an-euro-944-on-ebay.html
and I think we found that some non-US spec (like Saudi Arabia?) had Euro front bumper and side markers, but had US-style rear bumpers.

Does that manufacturing date say 6/84? And the windshield says 85?

ahh yes you are right!
thats what i was refering to, the saudi cars, that front bumper comes off of one of them, It is not fiberglass, it is aluminium!
I found one for sale a few months ago:
and I've thought about cutting mine just for kicks, but now i've got a fiberglass euro bumper.

I purchased one of those recently myself. I have been e-mailing a salvage yard in the UK to get the lights and bumper pads.
