Talking DENVER FUN RUN...

Hey Everyone,

I've talked with Geoff and he'll be putting together a Denver Fun Run in the first week of June, second best to anything in October! I look forward to meeting the gang and hope to get a good showing of Porsche's out for a little strech, air cooled included!!
For the local guys, coordinate with Geoff on route details, most important is to get an early start. I'll be driving out of downtown, hell, maybe Dad's S4 wil be done by then. Look up the Malibu fun run threads in the 993 forum to see what happens when a group of enthusiasts get together.

Hell yeah! I'll have to think of a good route, back roads, etc, in which we can stay off of the highways and have a great time...I found a fun way that's pretty long to get to Mount Evans... Took it one day an hour before work, and found myself about an hour and a half late because I was having a blast driving. Afterward, we can stop by a restaurant and get some grub. I'm thinking nothing too expensive, as I'm a poor college student.

Anyway, for you locals, Lemme know if you know of anything that we might wanna add to the route...
we've still kinda got a while so planning isn't set in stone yet.

Maybe I'll see if Tamela can put it in the RMR/AMR PCA newsletter... get LOTS of cars there.

the fort collins routes are soooo fun. last time my car club had a fun run though, there was a wee bit of a police encounter. Luckily, no tickets were issued, just dirty looks and lots of speedtraps went up nearby waiting for us to depart. Geoff, whenever works is fine on the hatch. A few weeks ago I jammed the car into the garage bay I am not using while at school, so weather isnt a problem anyways.

Daniel,
Great looking car!!!! Just show some restraint. That's just one of the things I like about the 951, you turn boost on--you turn boost off, in and out of traffic to give yourself a space buffer. However a clean stretch of highway is deadly...........
FWIW, for me to do a Malibu run I leave the house at 04:00 that morning. I spend a couple of hours with guys that KNOW how to drive their cars, listen to awesome exhaust tones (air cooled's especially), and remind them why they hate our $6k Turbos. With the commute to SD, I'm home for lunch. Yes, it is a Turbo............

Kevin, ya gonna bring the 944 or the 951? I mean, I'll already have Daniel's car to try to keep up with, don't need another turbo along for the ride...

I've got 3 helmets... Any more, and they'd need to be borrowed/bought....unless of course you have your own... I beleive Jinxy has his own...I met him at the race track, and beleive he was using his own, not one of the loaners the race track has (I'd reccomend stayin away from those)
