Where should my next Porsche road trip take me?
#18
Where are you starting from. There are some really nice roads/mountians in Western North Carolina. Pigisah, and the blue ridge parkway would be insane in a 44. I would suggest against texas, although i have only driven through once, the roads are very straight, and flat...i havent been to austin though.

Geoff - The track is usually booked a year in advance. Here is a copy of the current schedule. There are a lot of events, however.

P.S. I'd really like to sign up for that Skip Barber Driving School. The downside is that you don't use your own car.... they have V10 Dodge Vipers for you to drive... (that may be an upside for some people)
Here's a copy of the rental fees, if you happened to find an open day:

There should be a day where you can just pay a fee to run your car....

Yeah, the tracks here, charge $60.00 for four hours of test and tune. No saftey crew or what not, just have to be more careful. There are usually only 3 or 4 other cars on the track, so it's a really good deal.
