Fuchs on an S2?

Fuchs on an S2?
To put Fuchs on an S2, do you need the ones that were available on the 951? I seem to remember reading something about brake clearance. I searched the archive and couldn't get a definite answer.

To elaborate on what these guys said, the Fuchs are early offset wheels that cannot be fit to a late offset car like the S2. Fuchs only came on the 951 in 1986, the last year of the early offset car.
You can on the other hand fit late offset wheels to an early offset car with the use of spacers but thats not your situation. So yeah, they aren't going to fit.

Well, I am kinda confused here. On the turbo Cup cars in 1986 the 8+9" 16" Fuchs were standard (I have a set for my car) along with the bigger brakes (304 mm diameter). I can fit them on my car with 5 mm shims in the rear.

sweanders - what are the offsets of the turbo cup fuchs? I'm assuming they aren't 23mm, but rather the late offset, since all cup cars had late offset wheels.
Are you sure they aren't knockoffs?

Anders has one of the UBER rare sets of late offset Fuchs. Dont recall where but I saw a set sell for more than 4K dollars at one point.
They were only available on Turbo cup cars and only on a limited number of those.

Maybe my reply should say "Maybe Anders has"
There are late offset fuchs out there, they were very limited, however. I can only recall seeing 2 sets ever. The expert on this subject is Tifosiman, however, he is not around to answer this.

Well, I met the Swedish guy who has the brother car of mine, one of the three first turbo Cups made. The three first were bought by a Swedish importer and just after one of them was sold in 1987 it was absolutely smashed in a high speed incident. The other red car, looks exactly like mine but has green Fuchs (mine has yellow Fuchs) has the 1986 stock 951 brakes while mine has the bigger 304 mm rotors and 928S4 calipers.
I have not tried my Fuchs on the car, at the Purchase they were given to me by the PO and I've just stored them ever since. Maybe I should measure them, it might turn out that they are early offset while the car has been changed. Or does the M030 brakes fit on the old hubs?

They are not knockoffs, unless the factory used knockoffs to promote the turbo Cup series.
