Eh, too busy looking with the bolt/ rivets on the rim. The coolest thing about Fuchs to THIS amatuer is 1. The look, the look, the look. 2. They are a touch heavier than the mag phones; surely tough enough. 3. The size. I like 17's on these cars, but the price jump for a nice set of whatever 17's will probably net you the Fuchs you're looking for.

The reason they dont fit the 87+ cars is the offset.

Matt, I gathered that much. I'm just confused on why the offset changed. Different a-arms resulting in a wider track? Didn't the addition of ABS in '87+ neccessitate that?

First of all, welcome to Rennlist. I can understand why you might want fuchs but the 993 cup wheels are relatively easy to come by (got mine from a PCA member on roadfly). They are authentic and fit the S2 beautifully allowing for 255 45 ZR17s in the rear and 225's on the front.

I've heard that the offset changed since ABS wouldn't fit with the old offset.

Anders, thanks again My 944/951 knowledge just grew another fraction. Don't suppose you've got any pics of those yaller Fuchs on the Cup car, do you? Be intersting to see, but it's always nice lookin' at your car.

Thanks Chris, Cup I's or II's are my 2nd choice. Fuchs are always my first choice. I am not looking for wheels yet, but if a deal comes up I want to know what works. With the Fuchs, there are so many variations I thought something out of the ordinary parts bin would work. Guess I was wrong. BTW whereabout in Snobbsdale are you? I'm Cactus and 56th.

Anders is correct, the offset change was to accomodate the ABS setup. The irony, of course, is that no all the 87+ cars have ABS

I don't have any pics of my car with the Fuchs on but here is a pic of Cup car number 3, number two no longer exists with green Fuchs:

Try visiting this link instead, the text is in Swedish but the pictures are not.

If by Swedish pictures you mean a bunch Swedish nymphs gracing the cars, I really wouldn't mind.

Hmm, not bad. I thought green on red might look like a Christmas ornament, but I like it. Awesome what fatty Fuchs can do for the look of these cars...
