Default Piston failure - caution, big ugly photo...

This photo came from my friend Doug. He was merrily cruising along when
bam.... We're still trying to figure out what could have caused this? Doug had
completed a recent belt job and all was well - at least for a little while. Initially
we thought maybe the belt had slipped but the other pistons don't seem to have a
mark on them. This is an 85.5 and we're looking at options where to find an
engine.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Sorry to hear! You gonna rebuild it? I seen some pretty decent motors on ebay for cheap, probably your best bet and cheapest!

Ouch!

Is that rod still in tact? It seems to be sitting up a bit high...

That thing blew hard! Suck water in the motor? Sucked something in the motor, coolant? What's the head gasket look like? Something went seriously wrong there, not just a little bad piston action.
