Question Gauging Intrest on Parting an 86 951

I've had this one for a long time, and have sunken decent money into it. It has sat for the last year though. I start it up every couple of weeks. Its been sitting on the side of the house for too long. I'm thinking of parting it out as I need some parts off of her for another project.

The car's got 110K miles. Compression is good (I can take a final measurement). The belts were changed at 95K. The ac system is practically new. The tranny has a new clutch, put in at 105K. I forget if it has a slip, I'll have to check the papers. New a-arms, and some other crap. It doesn't have a clean title nor is the paint very nice anymore. The panels are pretty straight though. SInce owning it in '96, I've never had a mechanical problem except for the arms and clutch.

Everything is up for grabs cept the front bumper, rear hatch, shifter, and some sunroof parts. The car is in SoCal. Dont worry about pricing too much right now, it'll be worth your while. I just want to be sure I can get rid of the parts before I camp out underneath the car. Thanks for reading and happy motoring.

I'd be interested in your stock airbox if none of the mounting tabs are broken off, I don't need the other piping.

yes why not sell the car and buy a parts car or something or use some of th emoney you make to buy the parts for your project? it's always a shame to see our cars parted out unless they're totalled. at least yours is running...

That'd be cool. PM for contact info.

I've thought about that, but considering the title I didn't want to give it away.

I dunno if I still have the airbox.

The ac compressor is hardly used. I have an aversion to ac. The condesor is new. I had it towed when the clutch went out. The tow company smushed the bottom front of the car, idiots. The insurance company fixed everything, then went after the tow company.

I really hate to see these cars parted out to. Freaking kills me...... Do you have a rebuildable driver's side control arm :-)

The arms were rebuilt a while ago, but only a few thousand miles were put on them.

I don't think I've ever seen a complete set on this car...

Awe man. The clutch is stock, but I'd rather make it an option with the transaxle. Its got maybe 5K miles on it. That g'damn clutch job costs me an arm and a leg. It was done by a PCA/POC reccomended shop. I got reciepts on everything just about.

I needed a more reliable daily driver so I got a wrx wagon. That's why all the stuff I did to the 951 has little miles on it. Literally the mileage stopped accumulating on the 951 since May '01.

I am being talked out of parting by some members...

Oh yea, its got chrome C2's with once new, now flat spotted from sitting rubbers, yellow single adjustable konis, chips (forgot whether its Welts or Authority - too damn long ago), cloth interior, and um I have some spares, etc. Also have a 968 rear hatch, a Huntley Stg 4 maf/arc2, some electric Recaros (leather has seen better days), and probably some other crap laying around from all the years like a few months supply of factory oil/air filters.
