Ok, my clutch slave has just decided to start puking its guts out so I'm thinking it's contageous. The boot on the clutch master is also wet... so I've ordered the parts for the repairs.

Can I use anything like aerosol brake cleaner to clean the brake fluid from inside the bellhousing (by shooting in the inspection hole)? Will that do more harm than good?

One of these days I'll join... I swear.

TIA,
-David

No, DO NOT USE ANYTHING TO CLEAN THE BRAKE FLUID OUT OF THE BELL HOUSING!!!

The brake fluid will burn off. The grease in the pilot and throwout bearings will be rinsed off with brake cleaner and will cause them to fail prematurely. Go in with a paper towel, wipe out what you can, leave the rest. TRUST ME.
