PET in pdf format for the 944?
I'm looking for the parts PET in a pdf format to view on a Mac OSX system.
I have the PET disc in the typical Windows configurataion, but would prefer not to have to buy a separate computer system to run it.
Has anyone seen this or have a link to its whereabouts? Any others options?
TIA to all you "tech" folks out there.

If it is in .pdf, it should run on ANY system , so long as you have installed Adobe Reader. All .pdf files are the same.

Why would you even waste your time with VirtualPC?

Its as easy as selecting one of the 26 supported OS's and installing it to your OSX computer.

Faithless, PET commonly is not found in PDF, it is a windows program that is interactive. He does not have it in PDF.
He is looking for the PDF version so that he CAN use that on his mac. Make sense? It's not an issue related to not having Adobe Reader.

Actually, the issue is that the PET PDF cd has a directory structure that cannot be read by the Mac cd drivers. True, a pdf file is a pdf file, but, if you cannot access it on the cd, you cannot read it.

So what is it that you are selling in pdf format then George?
A pdf should be a "snapshot" of a said image. If the OS program of the PET is interactive, is it possible to put it in pdf format then, and if so, is that what you are peddling GB?
Man....I am SOOO not an I.T. guy

Pelican's site says that for damn near everything they list that's desirable - side mouldings, 944 n/a pistons (standard AND oversized), flywheel locks (!), ALL the manuals, various springs, LSD setup, the factory air compressor, etc. etc. etc. Half the time I wonder who's running their web site! Don't get me wrong - I've already had one Pelican rant today and don't need another and FWIW they DO contribute to our little community here by hosting a BBS, etc. I just think their web site is VERY amateur-ish (has a lot of omissions and dead links, etc.) I just hate sifting through 10 pages of stickers and lists of stuff they DON'T have in order to find something. Paragon has 'em beaten hands-down in the web site department!

Nope, there are two flavors of PET available right now:
1) The old version, requires windows and a 1280x1024 screen, and is interactive.
2) The new version, a compilation of pdf files, but requires windows to access the files.
The new one is available from PCNA, but, if you don't have windows, you cannot access the files.
I suppose that you could have a friend access the files you need, then email them to you, but it would take quite a bit of bandwidts.
