For the OPRV, I always snugged up the 4 bolts, then took them back a full turn, this let me slide the whole oil cooler around a bit. I kept wiggling it while installing the OPRV, and then as gently as possible re-snugged the oil cooler mounting bolts, and torqued to spec.

Awesome. I am now in the "wait 6 hours" part of Danno's write-up. (thanks danno! )

that Yamabond stuff is sticky, Messy, and stinky, but I think (and hope) it'll work and be as bomb-proof as Danno says it will. As for the oil cooler, did that the other day, still good.

I can't wait to put this thing back on the road, and I'll be able to park in the driveway again!

hehehe... so I don't know how to search (j/k)

Anyway, put it on, the new torque wrench for some reason did NOT click at me at 4 ft-lbs, nor at 7 ft-lbs....so I again used the "calibrated wrist" technique. Filled it with oil, mounted the cross-member and so far so good... I've gotta take my buddy to the airport shortly, and am taking a quick break to do so. All that needs connecting now is the airbox, sway bars, and starter, and to torque down the crank and balance shaft pulleys. so far no leaky. (oh yeah, I've gotta fill the coolant and power steering too) Things are looking great.

no, what i was referring to was that i just did this job about 4 weeks ago and remember reading Danno's procedure back then.

make sure you torque down the crankshaft pulley bolt before removing the flywheel lock and install the starter. good luck, i really hope it doesn't leak for you. i didn't use a torque wrench, just torqued it by feel until the point where i started putting just a little pressure on the wrench with my wrist. then moved on to the next bolt until they were all tight.

Well, 7 hours have passed since I filled it with oil, I've yet to drive it, and Danno's technique seems to be holding damn well. THANKS DANNO! Now, to finish putting it back together....(damn crossmember is a pain in the ***, and I"m Lazy!)
