Default new gauge needles?

Does anyone make new gauge needles for an early 944? I was thinking red.

Good call, I was thinking some red for the 951 would be nice to match the aftermarket gauges.

I did that with my VDO gauge to match the Link AF. But its not ideal, and you wont get the glow reflective type finish.

phosphorescent (sp?) paint is what you would want if repainting. Something I would like to do is find some clear lexan needles, and adapt them as part of a VW style backlit gauge cluster. Those things are beautius.

Lighted needles would be pretty cool, but not worth how much trouble it would be to make them work =(
If they made UV reactive numbers on the gauges, then I could make some cool LED's. However, with UV LED's in the instrument cluster, all you can see is the needle, and the numbers are very very dim.

You just need more UV LEDs, they are pretty cheap

Yes, they make replacement needles. They are incredibly expensive. Think, 3 needles would be WELL more than a used gauge cluster. I looked into this when I broke one about a year ago.
