Default Oil in coolant

After changing the oil cooler seals and gaskets on an 86 944 n/a, we are still getting oil in the coolant, any ideas would be appreciated.

You've got milkshake! Congrats! Head gasket or oil pump seals.

I'm not aware of anywhere else the oil and coolant get that close. Did you flush your cooling system before refilling? It could be possible that something didn't get lined up when you put the cooler/OPRV back on. Someone with more experience could probably give you better direction.

If your OPRV is misaligned and will not lift, it WILL roll the seal on the oil filter housing creating a pool of oil under the car in seconds. Don't ask how I know........

Did you use the alignment tool? I have heard (never done it myself) that if you don't align it perfectly (within very small measurements) that you will have leaks.

I second the misalignment of the oil cooler housing. That is IF the cooling system was not flushed. Remember, when it was leaking, the oil got into the radiator, all the hoses, and the heater core. Lots of places for oil to be hiding.

Did you use the clear plastic shim(2) on the element? At least one IS needed.

FLUSH....FLUSH.....FLUSH

OPRV incorrectly installed will cause wrong pressure readings mainly. Gauge pegged to 5 bar?

Did you flush the entire system and/or replace the coolant hoses? It could be something as simple as residual residue.
