Carraba's in Carmel, about 10 minutes from Fishers. Excellent Italian.

McAllister's Deli on 116th street in Fishers is very good, especially if you like sweet tea. Try the "Big Nasty" if you go there.

The main street through Fishers is 116th, it intersects Allisonville Road on the west side of Fishers. I live at 146th and Allisonville, in Noblesville. I'll PM you my cell phone #. Call me if you need anything.

Fishers isn't exactly a restaurant mecca (unless you like Olive Garden ). It is a nice part of town though.

Here are the closest Italian restaurants to Fishers:

BELLA VITA RISTORANTE http://www.bellavitaatthemarina.com/ It is actually in the Geist area in the south part of Fishers. I haven't eaten there, but it is supposed to be very nice.

Goodfella’s Restaurant & Bar http://www.nuvo.net/cuisine/browsecb.html?&feature=22 This is just down the street from me and about 5 minutes from Fishers in East Carmel. I haven't eaten here either but it is popular.

Here is a good guide to North Suburban restaurants:
http://www.indianapolismonthly.com/d...0Suburban.html

I suggest picking up a Nuvo magazine (free weekly) and an Indianapolis Monthly. They will both give you an idea of things to do and they both feature restaurants. IM is pretty high-brow though.

I am pretty busy with work right now, but if you need any advice when you are up here, give me a call. PM me and I will give you my phone number. Any other time and I would meet up with you for a drink.

Carrabas is just north of 116th street on keystone avenue in carmel. Look for the building on the west-side of keystone. It has trees on the roof of the building.

Maggiano's, McAllisters- (MMmmm Muffaletta!), and I recommend Buca di Beppo (similar to Maggiano's- both are "family style" Italian)- We have them in Cinci too.

Maybe some Local flavor? I'm STILL looking for a good old fashioned, Mom and Pop Wisconsin-style bar and grille around here... not all the corporate garbage.. Cheap beer and a good burger- I dont ask for much.

C-Man-

I was mad when Cold Beer and Cheeseburgers closed shop by the Dayton Mall.

I would personally kill for a local joint that does California burritos. Chipotle isnt bad per se, but total amateur night compared to the real deal.

Thanks guys! Very good suggestions.

For the Indy residents, I'm thinking of a Rennlist housewarming party in a few weeks once we get settled. I'd like to meet and thank those that have offered assistance given some good help over the last few weeks during this job/move fiasco. Besides, it may ease my wife's concerns about about meeting people in the area....

Would you be game for such a gathering?

Besides, grills have beened banned at my apartment complex for a year and I need to smoke something.

We got together about a month ago, it was fun, cool guys.

I will be exceptionally busy over the next 4 months as I have a hectic project wrapping up and I am getting married. Hopefully I will get to messing with the Porsche at some point in there...it is looking less likely though.

I know of a few places on the North side of town and some in Broad Ripple that you can get a beer and a burger. Nothing spectacular, but at least it isn't Applebees!

We did get a house in Fishers. It's just off 116th and Allisonville.

This Is the link.

1900sq.ft. on 2/3 acre with all appliances included.

We'll be moving in on Jan 7th. Actually, we're driving up on the 7th, the movers will arrive a few days later.
