3 bolts in the rear of the fender that bolt it to the a pillar. They are covered with the rubberized undercoating so you will have to dig them out. Just roughly there is one located 2-3 inches from the top one in the middle and one about 4 inches from the bottom. Other than that you might have to pull it a bit to get the undercoating to let go.

Yeah, those three rear bolts are real easy to miss. A heat gun may be very useful to soften the seam sealant. It takes some effort, these fenders don't just fall off.

I just took 'em off a parts car, no re-installation . They appear to be reasonable easy to realign, no slots or shims to worry about.

It's a piece of cake to put these fenders back on, just slide it back into place and bolt it down. As long as you didn't bend the fender or do something stupid while it was off it'll go right back in place and no one will ever know it was removed.

if it is like a late car, you are in for a b*tch of a time. You have to remove all the bolts that are along the hood line, 2-3 that are visible along the front edge connecting to the valence, a couple that are hanging on back by the door at ground level, and 3 that are in a vertical line that are pointed in towards the door. Those last three are buried by LOTS of undercoating.

There is also a spot weld between the fender and the header panel.

The fender is also glued on at the top, I recommend heating the wheel well side with a torch/heat gun and then pushing a putty knife through the seam from the engine bay side; then working your way along the seam.

A word of caution when heating the undercoating, although not highly flammable if you get it hot enough it will burn, and can stay lit. Not a huge hazard but something to be aware of.

alos on my 84 there is a bolt between the fender and the front valence (upper part in front of hood)....it was very hard to get at and I had to rig up a small socket on a vise grip to get it out....I replaced the bold with a star type (grooves on the bottom of the head).....I had the fender off twice..also the bolts that connect to the lower valence can be tough to get at.....sometimes easier to remove the bumper (two big bolt underneath bumper).....I had mine off when I repainted and again after hitting a deer.....it went back on fairly easy with no alignment problems
