We would like to introduce everyone to a new car club in the area,
please feel free to email us with any questions you may have......
The Miami Valley Sports Car Club (MVSCC) is a group of like-minded
enthusiasts whose sole purpose for existence is to create
motorsporting events, participate in friendly competition, on a
community level, with safety a primary focus. The MVSCC expects
most members will already be affiliated with regional or national
sports car clubs and we anticipate forging collaborative
relationships with them to maximize everyone's safety and enjoyment.
The Miami Valley Sports Car Club grew from a desire of local sports
car enthusiasts to focus their efforts toward amateur weekend
motorsports, including at a minimum, autocross. We intend to
remain flexible in all aspects of club proceedings. If only 20
people show up to our events or 200, we will be able to function.
Everyone is welcome and novices are very encouraged to attend. We
will have personal coaching sessions at each event for novices and
experienced alike. Our autocross events will be run using the same
class structure as SCCA Solo 2*, always with the possibility of a
few additional classes. Track sessions, similar to High Performance
Driver Education (HPDE) events are being considered.
*(The MVSCC is not affiliated with, nor is it in competition with,
the SCCA or the Western Ohio Region of the SCCA.)
The MVSCC has two events scheduled for 2005, the Taj Kreuzers
Ronald McDonald Charities Speedfest autocross event June 4th and an
autocross at Grissom Aeroplex in Peru, Indiana. Other events will
be added as interest, sites, and dates become available. Online
registration and information is planned to be available for events
using MyAutoEvents.com. There will also be a new website for
additional club and event information at
<http://www.miamivalleyscc.org/>.
The goal of the MVSCC is to provide a fun, safe, community based,
affordable motorsports alternative.
MVSCC's officers:
Jim Begovich
Kris Bjerkaas
Russ Charlton
Rene Keyzer-Andre
Luis Postigo
Doug Roberts
