That's a nice area, and there's excellent campgrounds and places to see in summer! A "middle of nowhere" venue might be nice for a starter, perhaps ending up in the Bay or down in Big Sur or something. . .

Wow, I totally though the Laguna Seca idea would be shot down in a real hurry (probably because of cost I guess). If it costs an arm and a leg to get it though, I'd much rather do something with a cool drive out to the middle of nowheresville, required like you said Jeff. And if it's several months from now, I think I could actually *afford* to drive farther, like all the way up to Oregon or something.

if you are interested in doing 'parade laps' at laguna, i can email the guy who set it up so he let you know what you guys need to do, who you need to contact and how you can pull it off.

I cant take credit tho, out of that set I might have taken one. All the credit goes to my friend Shelby who came along for the drive. She took the ""(in?)famous"" 150MPH/211k miles pic as well, and didnt mention it to her police officer father, so she DESERVES all the credit

Just an idea... how about doing at the same time as German autofest in Ventura? Resonable hotels in that area (I love Monterey, Big Sur, etc but lodging in those areas is big $$$) lots of nice roads around there too. And it would be funny to see a load of 944's show up at the autofest and park on the lawn!
