Lindsey Stage 1 or 2 Cylinder head for NA question
I'm considering a rebuild of my spare engine as you might know... and I'd need to get the head rebuilt, as the valve seals are crap.... SO, I was lookin around at Lindsey's website and I saw 2 options in their cylinder head machining selection that sounded kinda cool, but will these have enough value to the NA motor to make them worth the cost?
For $499.00 I can get the stage 1:
Surfaced Deck.
Replace valve guides and seals.
Competition 5 angle valve job.
for $999.00 I can get the stage 2:
Surfaced Deck.
Replace valve guides and seals.
Competition 5 angle valve job.
Port & Polish
O-ring
or if I was really rich,
for $1,499.00 the stage 3:
Surface Deck.
Replace Intake Valves.
Replace valve guides and seals.
Competition 5 angle valve job.
Max Port & Polish
O-ring
Will any of these options provide a noticable gain in HP and Tq? I'm just wondering what the value of the 5 angle valve seat is, if porting and polishing is worth it, and if O-ringing the head on an N/A has value.
