Rich Sandor: Thanks!
Epic2112: Thanks! Don't worry, I respect their opinion and have to agree with them up to a certain level. I think cars with value sould stay as original (or be restored to) as possible. This car in particular would have been slaughtered (on the track) and frankly was in very bad shape (paint was horrible, interior was completely devastated). So restoring the car to its original state would have cost me about the same money and wouldn't be worth it, if I decided to sell the car again. Besides, this is a lot more fun!

Looks really cool! Is that a finished color? Did you get that rear hatch assembly from Jacquemond(sp?)? I've always thought that his body stuff REALLY updated the look of the car. Expensive as ****, though!

I cant believe there are people out there who actuall LIKE the rear spoiler. I guess it is very 80s...to each his own. Like I said, I think your work is great.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder....but I know an ugly chick when I see one

I think the only thing that "bothers" people is the color. I think you do good work. It's not my taste, but you do good work.

As far as the 968 engine goes, you'll love it!

Mabey it's just me, but I think you completely bastardized that 944.

Wow! That is a lot of work. I like the color. The style is a little too extreme for my tastes - but the quality of work appears to be excellent. Now if you could just get a camera that would take quality pictures.

The front reminds me of a Miata and the rear hatch kind of looks like something from Lotus. Should be interesting to see when it's complete.

I agree, looks to be a top notch job- congrats on the progress and very well documented.

You may hear some flames from the purists- Not my taste either and I really really dont like Yellow.. but thats my opinion. I must congratulate you on a dramatic change, great craftsmanship and pushing the envelope.. but modify to your liking- It is, afterall, ALL YOURS! Keep up the good work!

What you've done is great! I agree, it's not really worth it to take a 944 in bad shape and restore it (although there is nothing wrong with it, just not financially sensible). So, taking this car and being so creative is super.

I enjoyed the other photos in your link. I really like the quality of the job you are doing. Little things like painting the inside of door sheet metal are things I really applaud. THAT looks like a quality job!

Thanks for sharing!

If you want there is a guy on this board with a beautiful 18" set of Khan wheels. They are about the nicest looking wheels you can get on a 944.

You sure those headlights arent from a Camaro?

Im thinking of all the woman I chased in the time you spent on that car. decisions decisions. not enough time in a day to get everything done.

The tail lights are hot, otherwise the front end reminds me of a Nissan 240SX, which begs the question, why not just buy one?

Regardless, your work is excellent.

Well... at least you can't blame Rennlisters for being honest and speaking their mind! I that filter between the brain and the mouth was tossed for weight reduction by some people in here! 1st reply is a flame... really people, wtf?

You have put a boatload of work into that car! Good Lord! I have done a little body work myself (though all I do now is mechanical work) so I can appreciate what you've done here. I wouldn't want to venture a guess on the hundreds of hours you invested in your one-off. Great job!

I'm not sure why people have to be hardcore purists. I love 944s stock, I love 944s with mods, hell I even love 944s with LS1s shoehorned in them! Thanks for sharing the pics, I enjoyed them, and once again, great job. Best of luck completing it.
