Interesting. Too bad he lied about the fact that is a euro-spec car. The bumpers and rear quarter marker lights say differently.
Would be a nice project to finish though, IF the motor was in good shape. Just needs the proper bumpers, deletion of the rear quarer markers, the rain gutters shaved, and a flush-fit front window to look a little more real.
I wonder how much it will go for................

That's sometimes seen on the early cars. I have seen a few 911's and 924's from that vintage that are US-spec but have the speedo/odo in Km's. It's kinda odd, but I guess one could get used to it.
Eric and I test-drove a '77 911 when I was car-shopping, with the same feature. The owner had a little conversion chart taped to the dash so he always knew how fast in MPH he was going.

Hmmm...would it be possible that the Euro bumpers/side markers could have been added when the car was brought to the USA? However, it would be doubtful that they would change the bumpers and side markers but not convert the speedometer. Still looks like a fun project though, those widebody flares look bad ****.

That is my old parts car that i sold to him off of ebay this spring. i bought it locally for $500.00 took off the 931 hood, and header panel. reinstalled the 944 hood and header and listed it on ebay...$500.00 and got shipped to jacksonville, free parts for me !
.
..It had a good amount of records when i bought it 30 days prior to that selling it on e-bay. I do not believe it is a euro spec car but the spedo was in KM. The engine ran but i would not drive it across town..did not make it on the way home from purchacing. It was all over the road. The person I purchaced it from had it for several years (6-8) as a project that never left the ground. He added turbo front fenders and bumper cover to the origonal car. The records did show low mileage. The aparent origonal owner was in a shipping business and the car was shipped to other countries at certain times. There were some reciepts from a london dealer and a german dealer for service I think. The interior was pretty dame when i had it from the sunroof leaking, the rear qtr's were water damaged, seats were not in bad shape carpets faded and very musty. From his pics it looks like he hasn't done anything to the interior.
I do like the"Earl scheib"mentality paint job. took the time to do the bdy mods and prep. had the front lights and all out. Masks iff the lights , bumper pads and hatch. Takes longer to mask them than to remoove them !!
I do see he still has not change the title into his name. That is the pa title i sent with the vehicle..HEY..Doesn't that mean its still "MY" car ???...!!!
