Default TOP 3 UPGRADES

HEY GUYS: I'm still learning more and more about 944 mechanics...

A. if you were on a modest budget, what would be the TOP 3 UPGRADES you would suggest for a stock 944?

B. And if money were no object, what 3 upgrades would you recommend?

1) Drivers Education Events
2) Suspension, once you have completed enough DEs to know what you need
3) Wheels/Tires

2 and 3 may be in a different order, depends on need

Money is no object:
1) replace 944 with Ferrari, prefer F40, but you can sub your own
2) more DEs
3) Turbo the S2, you already have

Do the performance chips REALLY work? It seems to me that it's all a mind game there. (I am a novice and do not know the ins and outs of such things) How do they work better than your factory chip?

For my daily driver:
1) General maintenance/upkeep -- make sure that the car is well sorted out.
2) Driver improvement (DE, autocross, and just more seat time)
3) cupholder -- why we have an ashtray, but not a cupholder is beyond me...

If money were no object:
1) The Carrera GT upgrade -- send the car in and everything gets replaced, except maybe the badge. You'll think you're driving a new car!
2) Replace empty passenger seat with one filled with Heidi Klum (or any other sexy model of your choice).
3) Upgrade the pathetic garage/parking space to one attached to a 3-story mansion, preferably also attached to a beach.

nate, try the search function. In short, yes and no. The gains are minimal but real. Maybe most importantly, it refreshes the old DME. The dyno gains were in the 3HP range.

Maybe you should read the question a bit more clearly? He said upgrades TO the s2. What does driver's ed have to do with it?

1. tires - duh, they're what keeps you connected to the ground
2. replace worn out suspension components (bushings, shocks, etc)
3. replace other worn out components...because they do exist

Without a budget? Why bother..

Oh I read it clearly - just being funny!

It's always fun to start the s2 vs. turbo battle. Makes things interesting around here on an otherwise lazy Sunday evening!!!

See any mention of "to the S2" anywhere?
