If you're like me, you probably have never used the rear seat belts. I took mine off and put them up on eBay -- lo and behold -- there's a market for them! I'm not sure who's buying them and for what purpose, but they are going for over $20
Here's mine: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7934928466
Here was someone's: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7925946970
This one went for $50+: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7931204115

If the plastic sleeves around them are not cracked and if there is no corrosion on the buckle, etc., I'd like to buy a pair for $20. The plastic is cracked/torn on mine. PM me if you have some to sell.
Thanks,
Thanks,

OT: Tony you still have to show me your lights you put on your car. Never got a chance that night when we meet up. We should try to meet up next time you are up here but not this week with all the family stuff.

I don't think the number of people replacing missing rear belts (or putting one in a cab) explains the amount of bidding these belts are getting. After talking to some of the bidders, I'm thinking that they are using for some non-Porsche applications. Heck, I'm just happy that I got any money of the deal .

Those plastic sleeves that rip cost about $15 alone for the pair. I replaced mine, because I got sick of looking at the old ones.
In NY, the registration sticker lists (used to list?) the max number of occupants. Does the removing the seatbelts change this?
I guess rear seatbelts are optional, but are you screwing over a subsequent owner by removing safety equipment? I guess I mean to say, I could understand removing the seatbelts _and_ the seat, but not just the seatbelts.

Id like to remove my seats and put in a sub or a shelf or something, but i always end up having to cram people back there...well, 1 person...I'm 6'5", there's about 2 inches between my seat and the back seat...my friends curse the day when i bought that car and could no longer give them rides...
